Reasons to Use Invisalign

I am an Invisalign patient and would like to let people know the reasons to use Invisalign. If you have any concerns about getting an unbiased view of what Invisalign is all about, check out the Wikipedia article. This will give you a clear picture of the process.
 
Below is my opinion, after wearing both regular braces and Invisalign braces.
 

Six Good Reasons Why Invisalign is Worthwhile

 
#1: If you research well and find a good provider, Invisalign is close to the cost of regular braces.
 
#2: The obvious one—Invisalign is invisible. I wore Invisalign retainers for many months. Often my wife would ask me if I had my retainers in because she could not tell by looking.
 
#3: The Invisalign retainers are removable. I loved the fact that if I was driving down the road and needed to stop for a snack, I could pop my retainers out. As soon as I finished eating, I could then put them back in again.
 
#4: Having clear plastic retainers in your mouth is like having a mouthguard. So for those of us who are occasionally putting our mouth on the line, Invisalign is great because it works as a protector as well.
#5: Invisalign works. If you have a great orthodontist, you can address pretty much any issue that steel braces would address. They do straighten your teeth.
 
#6: Invisalign uses a smooth clear plastic. So they are really comfortable. I had metal braces when I was younger and they could be uncomfortable. If something bumped my mouth the braces would cut into my cheeks.
 
I think those things are worth paying a little bit more. And as I mentioned, if you check around and find the most competitive price the difference is not that much from regular braces.
